Thoughts

Although Anne was personally unknown to most of us, except as a "forum sister", she spent over five years as a considerate, kind, and fun-loving member of Firth Sisters. She never hesitated to share a thoughtful response to others, or to post a Colin jigsaw puzzle to entertain us all. Anne will be sorely missed, but remain in our hearts a Firth Sister forever. Thank you for dedicating this site to Mrs. Anne Govier, it is a very delicate and beautiful thought from her best friend. Unfortunately I have never had the pleasure of knowing or writing to her, but everyone who had the joy of knowing Mrs. Govier agreed she was a lovely lady, the kindest and most generous person, very much loved and admired by all her friends, all over the world. I would have very much enjoyed knowing her and therefore would also like to lit a candle in her loving memory. May she rest in peace, she will never be forgotten by her friends who loved her and by all those who visit this beautiful site.

Anne really was our Firthie Miss Marple! When we met her in Bath I teased her about it saying that if we wanted to know where Colin was and what he might be doing at that very moment she would probably know or if she didn't she would be on the case trying to find out! She was like his guardian angel watching over him always caring for and defending him and his family. She'll still be doing that I'm sure...and keeping an eye on us all too...her Firthie Family! She'd love Annie's video and the new pics of Colin...like us all she had her favourites and I'm sure Annie included many of those in her selection. Thanks for the memory keepsake.... Requiescat In Pace dear Anne ❤️
