From John P. Gudge, In Memory of Anne

Created by Ann 9 years ago
If you two ladies don't mind, I have decided to keep my piece right here. I'd like to remember your mum, Anne, as never having said anything bad about anybody, a kind, gentle lady, who looked after our repository at church, made things, baked cakes, knitted for our sales in our church hall. But our memories go back much further, when you two "girls", were with our two "boys", playing great music together in Chard Concert Brass, under the direction of a man with your surname, yes Harry Govier. Your Dad, Alan, and mum, would be at as many concerts as they could, like Rose and me. We all enjoyed some good times together. Anne never complained about anything, and never made any demands of anybody. I think she loved everybody. The world could do with more people like her. God Bless.
